Needs A DSLR Camera

That is a fairly powerful statement - yes, everyone requires a Digital SLR camera. Do not get me wrong - I adore point-and-shoot cameras. My very first one had 3 megapixels and I paid $800 for this. Now I take a 6 mega pixel camera in the back of the car.

But there's a group of pictures you are going to want to consider when just the DSLR camera is going to do. I am discussing actions pictures - perhaps not of the game events (although here DSLR can also be needed ), but I am speaking about family and friends. If it comes to capturing that particular moment - your Mother's grin, a kid running to hug you, or even a household dog leaping over a gorgeous blossom - just DSLR is going to do.

Why? Because point-and-shoot cameras have a very long lag between pressing the button, and the camera launching (image being shot ). It may be provided that 1/2 second. This may look like very brief time - but in regards to photography, half a moment is like life threatening. Individuals might proceed by a foot or 2, kid will turn off, cat will turn it is back to you personally. Because of this, you may miss these special moments. These fantastic holiday moments - humorous, happy, humorous - that they won't be captured with a point-and-shoot camera. You will need the instantaneous response of a DSLR.

Other differences appear to matter less. I can not, and I've got a fairly good eye for detail. However, the capability to capture action - or lack of it is that which makes all of the difference in the world. Yes, the DSLRs cost a few hundred bucks over point-and-shoot cameras. However, the memories they catch are really priceless.
